Is Your Child’s Smile Ready to Go Back to School?

If your child hasn’t had their back to school dental checkup and cleaning yet, consider this: Dental diseases are responsible for causing school age children to miss more than 51 million hours of school every year. In fact, cavities are the most common chronic disease affecting children of this age.

By helping them develop and practice good oral hygiene habits every day, and by maintaining regular dental visits with our dentist, you can make a difference in your child’s school-year success. Indeed, spotting dental problems early will help your child avoid missing school, avoid experiencing oral pain, along with avoiding trouble eating or talking.

At Family Smile Center LLC, we offer routine dental cleanings, along with exams every six months for your family to clean their teeth and evaluate their smiles. If we determine your child can benefit from dental sealants, we encourage their application. These

If we determine that your child may benefit from dental sealants, we encourage their application after their teeth have been cleaned. Sealants are thin coatings that we paint onto your child’s permanent molars and premolars (their back teeth which do all of the major chewing) in the mouth. These dental sealants protect their teeth from decay by creating a barrier. In addition, we also provide fluoride treatments for your child’s smile as needed. In between visits, they can use fluoride toothpaste to provide protection for their pearly whites.

Our dentists, Dr. Danny H. Dinh and our team in Frederick, Maryland, look forward to helping you and your family prepare for a successful school year. Please give us a call at 301.663.9484 at your earliest convenience.
